Reading books vs. computer stuff

January 22nd, 2012

I love to spend my free time on reading books and watching films because it is very relaxing from my point of view. Yes, don’t’ you think that it is funny nowadays, when we spend all days on playing computer games, we have the steady connection to the Internet and we are surrounded by free email marketing programs and other types of online or email software? This is very popular and people do not claim these days that they like something else, because they do not want to be treated as someone old-fashioned. And this is sad because we can derive much more knowledge from books than from Internet and other types of online resources. But according to the majority, reading books is more involving, it means that it involves much more effort than sitting in the front of the computer and watching what is on the computer screen and clicking anything what appears in there. Yes, but in fact I cannot agree with the fact that putting through the pages of the book is so difficult and involves so much energy. But you know, different people have different experience.

Bulk emailing is a way of informing mass number of people of some promotion, for example. But privacy policy forbids sending any commercial messages to people who have not agreed to. If you break this law you may be put on the list of spammers and your messages will not be reliable any more. There are many different kinds of opt in emails like confirmed opt-in email also abbreviated to just COI, there is also unconfirmed opt in. First is when a user gives their email address and confirms it by replying to an email. Second  is when a subscriber gives their address but nothing is done to confirm it. Opt-in email is also used in order to create a list of contacts and sell it after authentication of those emails. Contacts can be sorted by different features like age or interests or anything that might be relevant to a campaign. Except opt-in email there also is opt out email, some websites while signing up sign you up for a newsletter to sign out you have to send a opt-out email.
