Email deliverability is interesting and worth using.

August 18th, 2010

If you don’t know what email deliverability means, probably you never have contact with email campaigns. I think that most of Internet users know that virtual reality is a great place for marketing actions and company promotion. Thanks to the Internet, in a few minutes you can get to millions people and, as you probably know, in traditional way it would be impossible. Email deliverability is a rate of gross of emails to a contact’s inbox and it is shown by the percentage scale. Of course, this kind of tool appears to be very handful when we search for optimal solution in email marketing campaign. There are dozens of strategies and styles of email content so it is quite natural if marketer tries for different methods in order to find the best one. Email deliverability should be used especially when we organize big marketing project and every decision is connected with great responsibility. In this situation, there is no time and place for mistakes or misunderstandings.

Email authentication as a useful process.

July 27th, 2010

Email authentication is another process connected with the whole email marketing business. As it name indicates, it is also related to email messages and email boxes. It is an option which checks who did send the message and some other stuff concerned. Mainly that process’s aim is to verify the identity of a sender. It is important especially in the bigger companies because one undefined email can cause a huge damages for the whole server if it will be opened on the firm’s computer and contain a virus. It seems to be funny and we often ignore the risk and open even the unchecked messages what is really stupid. Email authentication is a kind of guardian who check if the source of email is defined and if there are no parameters that may suggest that it is ‘dangerous’. But it is not a common software and you must download it from the Internet or buy it. But it is not so expensive and is worth its price. Email authentication is a kind of process that for the email box user’s sake should be obligatory for everybody.

Deliverability rate and its importance.

July 12th, 2010

Because of the fact that nowadays people communicate mainly via the Internet, using their email boxes, the notion of deliverability rate also has become important. It should be concerned not only form the point of view of the company which sends emails for clients but also with taking into consideration the fact that private persons would like to have their message been delivered. It is normal that we assume that if we write and send email, it will reach its recipient. And deliverability rate or scale informs us about the percentage of emails which have reached the proper receivers in comparison with the whole number of sent messages. And that is why it is important. It informs us if our email box works properly because if it does not, not so many our emails will be delivered. And what is the point of writing and sending anything if it is made in vain? But thanks to the deliverability rate we are immediately informed if something goes wrong. And we can do everything what is possible to fix it.

undelivered emails and the consequences they bring

April 23rd, 2010

Undelivered emails are these ones which did not reach the potential customer who has subscribe to the list of additional information receivers. It is weird that people who gave their permission for getting such emails wrote the incorrect or not well working email address. There are many reasons for which undelivered emails occur but in almost all of them the reason is the problem with the recipient’s email box. It can be full what will not enable it to get any message. The problem can be also a misspelling of the email address or the too sensitive spam detector which puts it in the spam box in order to delete it, so the owner of the email box may be not aware of the fact that he did receive anything but the email will be still undelivered. It is a common problem while sending mass emails, that many of them do not reach their recipients. Undelivered emails make the effectiveness of an email advertising campaign lower. The firm may because of that fact loose her money which she invest in sending any message.

Bounce rate as an alarming signal

April 12th, 2010

Bounce rate is a number which can be counted up while taking the number of bounced email messages and dividing them by the number of messages that have been sent. There are many ways in which that number – level of bounce rate – can be lowered or raised but I think that nobody wants to have many messages that will not receive their recipients. And there are many reasons for low deliver rate – they may be connected with the fact that there is a problem with the receiver’s email box and something can be wrong with the senders email address. To sum up, we should mention that even the sent message can contain some errors which enable it to be delivered properly. Bounce rate is a kind of alarming signal that something is going wrong and there are problems with a working of an email box. It can be very irritating and annoying when you cannot send message, or you send it and it does not reach the recipient. It can cause many complications and problems especially when you need to send something important.

How to improve deliverability rate?

February 8th, 2010

Deliverability rate is another way to examine email campaign. So every marketer would like to improve this rate as much as any other aspect of their campaigns. Best way to improve the rate is to use only double opt – in subscribed users. Of course it will dramatically decrease number of contacts but it will be a lot safer to do so. Deliverability rate is also dependant on spam filters for example, if such filter will give the message certain number of points that will exceed spam limit it will not be delivered. So it is important to think over your email address you choose and topic line because if this will occur suspicious to the spam filter it will give spam points and may decrease deliverability rate. As soon as possible you should inform your subscribers to white list your address so that they will not report you as spammer ( the more people do this your address may be blocked ). You can do this sending them a message with series of steps. It will increase your safety and reduce the chances of being banned.
